  Very challenging hiking terrain. Beautiful views ( on a clear day ). I backpacked in a thunderstorm. Different experience, but loved it!!

  Very icy uphill climb at the end of March. Beautiful experience as we had a snow shower as well during the upjlhill climb. Crampons or spikes are a must if doing this trail in the earlier part of the year.

  Some of the most challenging hikes in the Catskills that involve some technical maneuvering and scrambling, but I love that sort of thing. It makes the hike more mentally engaging, and it works muscles you forgot you had. The views are stunning, and it's beautiful forest. We've done Twin via Pecoy Notch trail and I can't wait to do the others.

  Not an easy hike by any means, but a worthy challenge. We're early 30s, physically fit, but not avid hikers. Managed to complete the 6 mile circuit trail in 4 hours including about 45 minutes to an hour of breaks to hydrate and enjoy the views. Definitely bring water. We didn't encounter any snakes, which have a presence in this area. The trail is dog friendly, minus one sharp assent that required me to carry our dog. Only 20 feet and very manageable with our 50 lb dog. Everyone recommends doing the trail clockwise. I agree because the steep areas were more fun climbing up instead of down.
