It Can get very tight on trail as you get closer to the waterfall. When going to the top part of falls it is super slippery! Do not pick up the rocks as they will slice you like a razor blade. Lots of rock stairs . coming back is definitely a work out bring water and wear sneakers or hiking boots!!
This is beautiful place to see waterfalls from two different locations. It has multiple trails from 5 miles to less than 1 mile.
Waterfall is amazing. I did not know you can swim or bath there. If you want to then bring your swimsuit.
Hiking are little difficult so for older and heart issue person should avoid.
You home a little bit then your way there platform and you look at the the fall. Nice falls. Well ok maybe pretty great falls. You want you can hike to the bottom of the falls. That about a half mile down and down and down a trail that's sometimes pretty rocky and sometimes steps and more steps and... You get the idea.
Go at least to the overlook. It's ready and worth the effort.
I went first weekend of May it was great. But went again after 2 week was not a lot of water. If you want to go, after rain will be best.
Parking at side of road and walked into trailhead for me.
It has many stairs.
It was a little hard for senior at steep mountain slope but if you healthy person, don't worry.
It took 1 hour 30 minutes climb in at the water fall and out.
A very beautiful place! One of the few places worth visiting both in winter and summer. Great place to enjoy snow and fresh air. Noise from the road does not penetrate the trail and does not interfere with enjoying a walk through the forest. There are several routes for hiking - you can see the waterfalls from above and below. But for hiking in winter it is worth using ice cleats, because there is a certain amount of ups and downs. There are enough parking lots, you can find both closer and further - it depends on the time, how much you want to hike. I would plan a whole day for this location. I visited here in late spring, I will definitely come back in the summer to compare my impressions.
When most people think of Cairo they think of the ancient Egyptian capital. However, what they don't know is that the state of New York is also home to a small town of the same name.
