  This place is great for anyone of any age or skill level interested in learning boxing. The environment is welcoming for beginners, and the more experienced people are more than willing to help you improve. There’s a ring sparring takes place 3 times a week for those who are more serious about the sport. The coaches are super knowledgeable and experienced with many years of training, fighting, and coaching under their belts, and all being something different to the table. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who’s ever wanted to try boxing, as well as anyone who’s currently training regardless of skill level.

  I trained here for 6 weeks, only leaving because I am relocating. I have martial arts experience but this was my first boxing gym. In the short time I've spent here I feel like I've learned a ton. Alec is able to identify small nuances in your movements that need correcting and does an excellent job of communicating instructions in a way that's easily understandable. Besides Alec the other instructors are also all legit, having fight experience under their belts. Classes have a consistent structure to them consisting of mitt work with some cardio at beginning and end of classes. Atmosphere here is great, people are super welcoming and easy-going. Highly recommend this place for both beginners and experienced boxers!

  It can be difficult to find quality instruction that focuses on the fundamentals. I was looking for a gym that could help sharpen my boxing and the results were fantastic. By taking three classes a week (two of Alec's and CJ's on Friday nights) I noticed a significant increase in my skills and fitness in less than two months. The hallmark of a great gym is when you notice your training partners', of all levels, increase in skill week after week. Their classes build a solid foundation.
  If you are ever in the area, drop in for a class.

  Whippany Boxing was something I decided to do on a whim, with no expectations. After only one class with Alec, I could tell it was something I could see myself doing long term. Immediately you can tell Alec (and the other coaches for that matter) are not only great at what they do, but also can break everything down step by step so if you are a beginner or advanced you are still always learning. The classes are always high intensity and it's a great group of people in the classes who are always willing to work with you, and give you insight and help when needed. Really great environment for someone completely new to boxing, highly recommend.

  I came to Whippany Boxing with 10 prior years of boxing training/experience and I am still learning new things. With time, habits form and sometimes are hard to fix, especially in boxing. But at Whippany Boxing I am not only seeing, but critiquing and fixing mistakes that I never noticed until I started training here. From the refreshing and effective drills, sparring, and the incorporation of live rounds, don’t only make you work, but improve. The experience is unmatched, the level of knowledge, professionalism, and passion at Whippany Boxing is like no other. I highly recommend this gym to anyone who wants to get in shape, learn how to fight, or is an experienced fighter and needs a REAL boxing gym to call home.
