(July 18, 2023, 8:54 am)I would beware if you are going solo but especially with a dog. This is a VERY serene and beautiful place. I felt so lucky to have found it. I was there for no more than 30 minutes. I had planned to spend the day there walking with my dog. We stayed on the cut grass trails and didn’t venture into the woods. At one point, he had 6 ticks on his front leg. I had 3 on my ankle. When we left the trail I had pulled off 16-17, two lodged between his toes. 2 days later after riding in the pet net again, I have found two more on his back… I am grateful he is vaccinated for Lyme and his seresto kept them from biting but none of this adventure was enjoyable. I want to warn other dog lovers because they might not be as lucky to have a short haired dog.

(August 18, 2022, 11:48 am)A lovely and peaceful natural preserve. There are several unpaved trails through woodlands and old farm land that are marked with color arrow signs. Some trails are mostly sunny and others part sun and woodlands. The trail system is compact with about 4 trails from 1.2 - 1.4 mi. You can extend your walk by looping all trails. The yellow trail is across Swedesford Rd and tricky to find. It’s 1.4 mi round trip. Facing Swedesford Rd, to your LEFT walk on elevated grass trail about 250-300 steps. You will see a sign for crossing Swedesford to yellow trail. Careful while crossing and stepping off road to trail. There’s a slight drop from road. Also on return don’t trip getting back across road (because I did!). Stay to your LEFT at beginning of yellow trail. Overall, enjoyable and very peaceful location. Restrooms for Preserve are located near main office area.

(June 30, 2019, 6:12 pm)Nice large land preserve with lots of trails. The trails are well marked. Plenty of directional signs in case you get turned around or list. Great views. There are connecting trails where you can access the Wissahickon Watershed and the Green Ribbon Trail.

(June 28, 2017, 12:03 pm)Beautiful park with nice trails and wildlife. Just look out for ticks! My 2 dogs had a collective 10 ticks attached after a one hour walk.
