This section of Crossways Preserve (Cathcart Rd) is a pretty wooded crushed gravel trail. There are mowed grass trails for walking and horse back riding. The trail along Cathcart Rd isn’t long, possibly 1 mile round trip. It’s not a loop just out and back.
To continue the trail walk along the grass easement of Kindle farm, follow the sign to cross the street. After a very short wooded path you’ll cross at the intersection of Plymouth Rd and Township Line Rd. You’ll see the Crossways signs and arrows. Follow signs on Township Line Rd. A short walk will bring you to Crossways again. After crossing a bridge you’ll see connector trail to Green Ribbon Trail on Right. Further on you’ll see the sign to Penllyn Woods. It can be a bit confusing but there are many signs.
Another sign for Crossways direct you to MCCC in the opposite direction. There are 4 designated parking spots at MCCC for Crossways. The trail signs continue around the athletic fields then stop (maybe will resume in future?) You can continue that walk around the fields and back to the parking lot.
It’s an interesting walk. Sometimes seeming patchy. Also, crossing Plymouth and Township Line Rd is a little tricky since there are no pedestrian crossing signals.
I will be back.
