So beautiful along the river. People are so nice. Dog friendly.
Beautiful place! You can walk or take a trolley. I took the trolley from the Trolley museum of New York. (I also bought the ticket at there.)
Though visited in colder weather, it is easy to imagine this place bustling with summertime crowds (back before the ‘Rona killed everybody). Remnants of the tracks are on display. The mighty Hudson’s waters rush into the inlet, passing underneath the footbridge. There are several picnic tables, including one found right at the water’s edge. Several trees have been felled from seemingly natural causes, but no effort has been made to remove them (maybe because the ‘Rona killed all foresters). Trees have been planted along the shoreline with plaques to commemorate their donors.
One of Kingston's hidden gems. At one end is the Kingston Rotary park (a gem unto itself) and on the other end is the Rondout waterfront. This a scenic, level and easy to walk path. You walk along both the banks of the Hudson as well as the Rondout.
