The view across the river (this day) included some old boats and barges.
There is also a "Cruise Ship in dock for restoration.
It's not so much a destination, as it is a decent place to stop driving, rest, and look at water. -

(September 24, 2022, 10:37 am)Nice kayak /boat access to the rondout Creek where you can go upstream for a couple of miles or hook a right and head to the river.

(August 28, 2022, 7:45 pm)This quiet little park has a nice view of the Roundout creek. There are a couple of benches and a few picnic tables on a concrete pier that are perfect for a picnic or watching the boats go by. Look to your left and you’ll see downtown kingston, then look to your right and you’ll just see the Hudson River. There’s a boat ramp and a canoe/kayak launch. There isn’t a lot of parking, but I’ve never seen it busy.
The access road is narrow and a little bumpy, take your time and know that once you make it through the reeds the park will be there.
There is a trail that leads out towards the Hudson River. I’ve haven’t hiked it yet, but I’ve hear you should plan your adventure around low tide. -

(June 21, 2020, 10:29 pm)Nice park, nice boat ramp for boats up to 23 feet. ** Gate closes at 9pm, if you're not there at 9, car/truck/trailor will get towed **
