  Our first visit to this park was on one of the hottest summer days. Even first thing in the morning the humidity was brutal. We parked in one of the first main lots so we plan to return to explore other trails as there is a lot to see. The area we hiked was mostly grass trails and was fairly easy. Perfect for beginners or or if you’re out for a more casual walk. There are plenty of walking paths to enjoy. We claimed the many steps to the lookout. The views are very pretty, you can see fairly far out over the park. I was able to see other areas that we plan to check out when we return. We walked past a playground picnic areas and everyone seemed to be having fun despite the heat. If you have small children I recommend a visit. I look forward to returning in the fall!

  Nice hike on varying surfaces. You can choose to stay on fairly level trails or plunge into the woods. The Wissahickon offer babbling water and a cooler area even on a densely hot day. Other areas of the park have pavilions and picnic areas but we were there to hike the trail today.

  The bird observation platform is my favorite part. Nice scenic trail by the creek. Not too crowed and dog friendly. Plenty of benches and out coves to take a break. Excellent restroom facilities. There are bulletin broads with maps and information. Even a water fountain (hydration station). Friendly and knowledgeable staff too.

  This has been on my bucket list for years. This did not disappoint. Jane Austin once said.....“To sit in the shade on a fine day, and look upon verdure, is the most perfect refreshment.”
  
  I would suggest as a tip to use the bathrooms near parking lot 3 and 4 and then drive up to parking lot 5. Parking was not busy by 1 pm at all which I was surprised about. The best parking lot is 5. It is next to the observation deck. You can a great view of all the hawks and cool animals. Once you are done, I would go down the hill to then get access to about 10 miles of varied trails and woods. Green Ribbon Trail is also an access point of great vision that I cannot begin to tell you. I felt like my attention span could stand all the hills and valleys. This was so clean. The water was nice. I would suggest getting there early during the heat and just exploring for the whole day. I feel like I had to stop because it was getting dark. But this made 2023 chefs kiss.

  This beautiful park 🌳 is almost 500 acres and is located in Montgomery township Pennsylvania not far from Bucks County. The parks offers open space, picnic 🧺 areas, hiking 🥾 running 🏃🏾‍♀️ and walking 🚶‍♂️ areas as well as camping 🏕 areas. There are beautiful trees, flowers and birds 🦢 🌺 🌲 throughout. There is an observation deck as well and the park borders the scenic Wissahickon Creek. There are park rangers available as well as public bathrooms 🚽.
