Sifu Brian the GOAT, other students are always there for you, and the training environment is as friendly as it is productive. I may still be young but I can already see myself going here for the rest of my life. Only thing to look out for is indoor shoes, as friction is a heavy variable in many drills.
I have learned various martial systems, but not for a long term. Ving Tsun (VT) through WSL was something else on a different wavelength. VT had me when it was described as making you "efficient" to end the fight. In the beginning, I had difficulty in adjusting to VT's exercises and drills. It's concepts and the abstract behavior it teaches were new to me. But such things as these made me grow in excitement and intrigue. It had such a hook on me, to the point that it encouraged me to continue on the long run.
When Brian is in teaching and training mode, he has discerning eyes, where he is able to pick up on your mistakes, and clearly explains the why of each abstract behavior. This ability allows him to improve not only his training partners, but also himself. When not teaching, he's chill and treats you like a member of the community.
There are moments of you either experiencing failure or not living up to the standards of the teacher or your training partners. However, things to keep in mind: leave ego at the front door, let go of unrealistic expectations, remind yourself to enjoy and have fun learning, trust the process, be curious, and have a laugh when mistakes are made.
I have attended this school for going on five years now and have nothing but the best to say about my experiences here. Excellent teaching, accommodating to different learning styles, and the community of students is super friendly and relaxed. I’ve enjoyed my time here and would recommend it anyone to come and practice here as well!
I have been training with this Wing Chun school for the past 5 years, and I can confidently say that it is one of the best decisions I've made. The instructor is extremely knowledgeable and patient, and has a great teaching style that makes learning the techniques much easier. The best part is that there are no belt systems, so you are only paying to learn and improve your skills.
The atmosphere and culture of the school is truly unique, as the students become part of a tight community. The camaraderie among the students is amazing, and it's great to have close friends who share a passion for Wing Chun. The learning curve for Wing Chun is steep, but by consistently coming to class, I have seen a significant improvement in my skills and physical fitness.
The instructor is not only an expert in Wing Chun, but also a genuinely nice person who cares about his students. He takes the time to get to know everyone and is always willing to answer questions and provide guidance. I feel lucky to have found such a great teacher and school.
Overall, if you are looking for a practical self-defense style and a tight-knit community, I highly recommend this Wing Chun school.
I have been blown away by the quality of instruction and the supportive community at this school. The instructor and the advanced students are knowledgeable and experienced, and they truly care about everyone's progress and well-being. They take the time to explain techniques thoroughly and provide feedback to help each student improve.
The facility itself is spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with plenty of space for classes. The class accommodates all skill levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. Whether you are looking to improve your fitness, learn self-defense skills, or learn martial arts at a high level, this is the place for you.
Perhaps the most impressive aspect of this school is the sense of community that permeates throughout. The instructor and students are friendly, welcoming, and inclusive, creating a positive and supportive atmosphere for all. There is a strong emphasis on respect, discipline, and community, which helps to foster personal growth and development.
Overall, I highly recommend this school to anyone looking to improve their martial arts skills, their fitness, and their personal well-being. The quality of instruction, the welcoming community, and the great facility make this school stand out as one of the best in the area. You won't learn Wing Chun like this anywhere else.
