(June 30, 2023, 9:18 am)Charming B&B, in a renovated historic landmark, conveniently located close to town and the train station. The owners are super nice and will give you a tour of the property. We stayed in the Napoleon Room which was gorgeous and meticulously decorated and has a very large renovated bathroom. Perfect for a few days of relaxation !

(June 29, 2023, 5:33 pm)We had a wonderdul time visiting over a long weekend. The location is superb with the home directly facing the River featuring a large porch to enjoy the setting. Marianne and David are terrific hosts who work hard and endlessly to make sure you are enjoying your visit not only to the home but the surrounding areas. Marianne's breakfasts are delightful and the home is charming. David's detailed history talk is not be missed especially if taking in the nearby West Point Foundry Preserve, an easy walk from the property. We look forwrad to our return visit!

We were greeted with wine and cheese upon our arrival and the home cooked breakfast in the morning was delicious. Only a 10 minute (max) walk to the main street it is ideal for walking around the town.

(June 3, 2023, 3:16 pm)My husband and I splurged on an anniversary getaway to the West Point Foundry B&B which exceeded all our expectations. First, the 1820s house itself has been beautifully restored and tastefully appointed with period furnishing and decor, but with all the comforts of a luxurious modern home. Second, the owners who live on-site in a separate new home, welcome and treat their guests as they would dear friends. (There are only two guest rooms in the house which makes for a special and personal experience .) After receiving a brief tour and answers to our questions about the history and surroundings along with an invitation to enjoy the pool, the grounds, refreshments including wine, cheese, fruit, and in-room filtered ice water, we were left to ourselves. We truly felt the home was ours to enjoy as we wished during our visit. What we enjoyed most was sitting on the front porch with a magnificent view of the Hudson River before us, birds all around, fresh flowers on the table and in colorful pots, the sound of passing trains occasionally and a sense that, at least for the moment, all was right with the world. Third, the breakfast, cooked and served by our hostess, Marianne, was delicious and generous. We appreciated the heirloom china, silver and linens and another opportunity to appreciate the view from the porch. Marianne is a warm and generous hostess who genuinely enjoys getting to know her guests and their interests. Her personal touch is what makes this B&B an extraordinary experience. We will be recommending it to all our friends.
Though we think it's worth a trip to Cold Spring, NY just to experience the B&B, there are other reasons to go. The MTA train from Grand Central gets you there in about an hour and a half and the views along the way are lovely. The town of Cold Spring has many charming shops and restaurants. Don't miss Moo Moos for 5 star ice cream! The Foundry Preserve is great for bird watching and the history of the Foundry is quite interesting too.
One tip that would have been helpful to us as first time visitors is to ask for walking directions from the train station. Though the B&B is just above the parking area you need to walk into town and make a loop back through a condominium complex to get to the property. -

(November 16, 2022, 10:53 am)We spent a very relaxing weekend at the West Point Foundry B&B in November 2022. The owners, Marianne Sutton & David Watson, have absolutely done an amazing job by hosting us and making our getaway a totally unforgettable experience! The place is truly amazing, offering a breathtaking view and a truly romantic atmosphere! We truly enjoyed exploring the place, accompanied with the tour of such a historic landmark building that offers a lot of the American history going back to 1820s. We give the highest recommendation to the lovely owners and highly recommend this place to the couples for the romantic getaway! Definitely look forward to coming back there!
