(July 28, 2023, 4:48 pm)Only Housatonic access place on water in Shelton. Great viewing spot for Wildlife,regularly visited by local PD and State Conservation Officers,very safe. Wonderful for just sitting on Park benches and enjoying view. Please obey all rules when visiting. Parking restricted for boat launching during summer.

(July 27, 2021, 11:56 am)The Housatonic River is a great place to relax and enjoy a sunny day. It's a straight shot down Sunnyside elementary school. There's a baseball field and ample free parking. It's a good place to bring a small snack or eat lunch. It's primarily a boat launching ramp.
