  I was recommended by a friend to use Stonehille Kennel for my 95 pound Akita, who was extremely territorial, who was extremely stubborn and overly protective.
  With the training that they provided and the lessons that I continue to do with my trainer Landry my dog, is completely different. 1000% better behave. I am able to have controlled walks, I can have friends over my place and not worry about my dog behaving aggressive. My overall lifestyle with my dog has improved.
  I would recommend anyone who is looking for dog trainers that cares and can provide results. To use their services.

  If you're seeking professionals that genuinely care for their clients and take the time to educate and set you up for success for the duration of your dog's life, this is the place to choose. My husband and I own a 3 year old German Shepherd who has completed other training programs and we can confidently say this is by far the best and most effective experience we've had to date.
  Our dog struggled with obedience with distractions, simple manners around other dogs and humans, as well as exhibited dominant behaviors. The comprehensive training we received over the course of 6 weeks was beyond expectations. Furthermore, the follow up sessions are invaluable and at no additional cost - thank you!
  A few highlights...
  1. The detailed intake process sets the tone for the level of care and specified training your dog will receive.
  2. The weekly updates (texts/videos) were very appreciated and again, the level of detailed included on every aspect of our dog's behavior and training was awesome!
  3. The sessions with us and our dog were extremely educational for us to understand the nuances of our own and our dog's interactions and how to set him up for success.
  4. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, our trainer, LANDRY, is an absolute gem. Not only extremely knowledgeable, but took every opportunity to share his knowledge and expertise, providing any level of support and guidance needed, and was extremely encouraging throughout. For first time owners of a dominant breed, this was invaluable to build our confidence to communicate effectively with our dog. I'm sure Stonehill has a high standard for their trainers, but Landry delivered truly above and beyond and we are so thankful for this experience.
  
  Also, our pup returned to us even happier and healthier than when we dropped him off. He was well fed, exercised, and his long coat meticulously groomed and maintained daily. THANK YOU for taking such good care of him!

  I’ve been around Stonehill Kennels for the past 13 years, as a friend, and a client, and I’m proud to know Chris Byrne. Years ago he saw a kid with a flat tire and an unruly dog pull in his driveway looking for help, he took care of me, taught me what I needed to know, and because of him I had a wonderful life with my dog, and I’ll never forget what he did for me. Chris saw a kid in need and because of his character he gave me an opportunity to learn, and it’s what I needed to start down a more successful path in life. I was proud of my dog, my best friend, and his companionship game me the courage to put myself out there and learn other skills. I’m writing this as a successful late 30 year old who is back at Stonehill with a new puppy, it feels full circle in a way, and Chris played a part in it, so thank you. Chris even has relationships with those considered to be the VERY BEST trainers in the whole country, we’re lucky to have them here. Everything I’ve ever seen at Stonehill has been nothing but hard work, great care, and folks who want nothing but the best for any of the animals under their care. The Byrne family and their employees are all stellar individuals with straight morals and I’ll forever stand by that. Chris passed his traits down to CJ who has shown to be equally if not more talented and caring than his father and I look forward to continuing my relationship with them.

  Dear Chris -
  We want to thank you and your staff for the training you did with our dog, Shelby, during her six week In-Kennel Training Program in late 2021. We knew she was a great dog with some behavioral issues, but we didn’t realize how amazing she could be.
  
  Our sincere thanks goes to Landry Rogers, who was and has been amazing in the training process as well as communication with us. He has been extremely professional, respectful, and conscientious while training our year-old Australian Labradoodle. He structured his training to fit Shelby's personality and went at her pace. The videos he shared with us were helpful and welcomed. Although we missed her like crazy, we could see that she was happy to be working with Landry and progressing weekly! He handled our many questions and explaining training techniques during our training sessions with ease. We were again reminded of Landry's skills as a trainer when we were in Goshen for a follow-up visit recently. He showed us how to avoid a leash-pulling behavior, which he demonstrated in only three 180 degree turns before Shelby learned that she must follow the lead and not pull.
  
  Shelby is extremely well behaved (most of the time!), but more importantly, we believe that she is a happier dog when she knows her roles and can follow commands. We value each of the commands she has learned but are particularly appreciative of what we, as owners, have learned as well! Being first-time dog owners, we learned a lot and we use the skills Shelby was taught daily. It has been rewarding to see her grow into a more confident dog.
  
  We are especially proud of our dog’s behavior when we take her with us in public. We almost always hear positive comments from strangers about her obedience and behavior and are happy to share our experience with them about K9One Dog Training at Stonehill Kennels. We want to again thank you, your staff, and especially Landry; we continue to be proud of our little snickerdoodle!

  I rescued a mixed breed pup at 4 months old. I knew she would be the perfect fit for me, but I had no idea how strong she would become. We did puppy school and I tried everything I had ever learned in the past from training dogs, but this girl was bullheaded!! When I read about Stonehill Kennel I was very interested in learning more about that style of training. After meeting Chris and his staff, I knew this was what we needed. Everyone was completely professional, I never worried about my dogs well being while boarding there for her training. Landry was the BEST. He made me feel as though his only goal was to make sure we were completely happy with the final outcome. And we were!! I encourage anyone looking for exceptionally qualified individuals to train your dog, visit and consider Stonehill Kennel!
  Worth every penny!!
