It was sad to see what appeared to be kudzu strangling the beautiful majestic trees. -

(April 7, 2023, 4:44 pm)The trail is easy to do for families with young children with views of the Hudson river. You can spot a few wild birds on the trail. We wanted to spot some bald eagles but it is not the place for that. We did see some vultures and cranes. The trail goes up to dennings point(better for viewing eagles), but it is a restricted area. It gets windy and cold in April. So dress appropriately. The park has a deck to view the river closely. Parking is mostly available. Summer days can get busy.

(February 25, 2023, 12:46 pm)Have a picnic here before the sunset on a warm day. We came here on a cold blustery afternoon for a quick scenic stop. The view was still gorgeous on a clear day.

Lots of parking spaces, but they were almost full when I visited on a nice Sunday afternoon.
No fees to enter or park.
