Memories of walking out as a kid 25+ years ago came back when doing it again this year with family. You need to be aware of the tide, we planned it so we walked out from Middle Beach about 20 min before low tide, stayed for a bit, then came back to shore (water will get as high as your hips for the average adult). The grassy areas are marked not to disturb due to bird nesting (plus we hear of poison ivy up there) so stick to the rocky area along the northern edge. Lots of wildlife to check out ... mind the tides!
This place was so fun to hangout on the rocks too bad I moved about 15 years ago
Great natural experience. Cool to walk out during low tide and sit on the rocks and watch the water
