If you love learning about early American & local history, you'll enjoy the Old Barracks. The exhibits are nice & the tour guide(s), dressed in period clothes, know a lot about the history of the Barracks, the war & Trenton. Make sure you visit the museum & gift shop inside. There is a room with a video depicting the movement of Washington's troops during the war. Very interesting & educational!
Had a great tour guide, David. He was so informative. He knew his stuff! My husband asked questions, and David had so much information to share.
This is a little hard to find and surrounded by the city but parking was okay when we arrived. It was however closed because they had just finished a special event. We were allowed to walk the grounds and an off duty staff did give us a little history. Amazing to think you can stand where General George Washington took command of the Continental Army.
