(April 25, 2019, 11:18 pm)New York Karate Dojo in Medford NY is one of only a few Traditional Okinawan Karate Schools on Long Island. Sensei (Teacher) Robert Rowley teaches Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Karate from Okinawa the true birthplace of Karate. My Daughter is a student at the New York Karate Dojo and she Loves it and looks forward to every class with Sensei Rowley. She is so motivated and enthusiastic about her Karate training at the Dojo. She is not only learning Self Protection she is learning History and traditions of Okinawan Karate a Historical and Cultural treasure. Sensei Rowley teaches every class himself with over 35 years experience and regular trips to Okinawa every class at the New York Dojo is the best Karate training you can find.

(April 23, 2019, 10:41 am)My son has been a student since he was 5. Now at 11, he is a junior black belt. The Sensei’s are mentors and care for their students whole heartedly. Every lesson is delivered with not only technique and reasoning, but doses of humor. It is a true family atmosphere as we have made friendships that will last forever. No matter what age, it is an amazing dojo.

(April 23, 2019, 10:18 am)Sensei Rowley is absolutely wonderful with all kids and adults. He instills self confidence, self defense, and health and wellness. All of the Instructors give 100% of themselves to see a child/self thrive. It is a family friendly Dojo where you become more like family than just a student. I highly recommend New York Dojo!!!!!!
