(August 5, 2023, 2:10 pm)We had a great time on the tour of the courthouse, the guide was full of great information. He taught us how courthouses were run, how it was built then burned down and rebuilt again. You can see the old foundation under the courthouse when you go inside.

(June 29, 2023, 8:36 pm)We only learned about this place by accident, while visiting the Old State Capitol in Dover, but we were very glad we did. Stopping off in New Castle for a couple of hours, we were able to take a very informative guided tour to learn about the history of the building as courthouse and Delaware’s first legislative building. The tour guide was friendly, the tour a fascinating 45 minutes, and all for free - definitely worth dropping by if you are in the area.

Our guide (it was Thursday, April 6th) was very passionate about the court house museum and provided a lot of information.
The museum is not big but has a lot of great exhibitions.
Definitely recommend for everyone even for kids 5+
And don't forget to walk around - it's a great old town around the museum.
