  The Terry House is absolutely breathtaking. We were greeted by historic charm and beautiful detailed architecture and furnishings. Our room was Hummingbird themed with beautiful decorations through out, air conditioning, ceiling fan, TV, Internet access, a private updated bathroom, iron, wardrobe to hang clothes, and mini fridge. The downstairs living room has a coffee area, refreshments, and games. There’s ample parking available on both sides of the street. Terry House is walking distance from shops, the historic courthouse,park, and the pier. We enjoyed our stay in New Castle!

  The Terry House is a wonderfully updated B&B with beautiful themed rooms, which in my belief captures the original grandness of the property. The improvements still continue, but the renovations are not interruptive. James was very responsive and attentive to our inquiries and needs. We had a marvelous stay, enjoyed the local restaurants, the location is central to so much and are looking forward to the next time we can visit and explore longer.

  We took an enchanting trip back to the 1860s and early 1900s in these intricately redecorated and themed rooms. From tall ships and fox hunts to cars, each newly renovated room has its own classy decor. Step outside and you walk the colonial period streets. Terry House backs up to Battery Park with it's riverfront walkway and pier where Wm Penn landed to found Pennsylvania. Terry House faces the New Castle Courthouse (now museum), which joined Philadelphia's declaration to secede from Britain--and simultaneously from PA to form the state of Delaware.

  We stayed at The Terry House for an overnight visit and it was lovely! Great location. Quaint town on the river. Innkeepers went out of their way to accommodate our schedule. We look forward to another visit.

  It was so cool to stay in this historic house! I can't believe how inexpensive it was compared to hotels in the area. The streets surrounding it are walkable and have beautiful trees and buildings. The property has a little outside garden area and it adjoins to the nearby park that was beautiful and on the water. This location was more than anything I could have expected. The house was like staying at your grandma's, very homey. The staff was so accommodating, they met us for a late check in and made us an early breakfast both days just to fit our schedule.

8 reviews of Terry House Bed & Breakfast "Comfortable rooms and great breakfasts. First day was fresh fruit cup with a waffle topped with cream and strawberries and 2 sausage links. Second day 2 scrambled eggs and bacon and biscuit. Plus home made pumpkin mini muffins and cinnamon bread. Yummy! We were on the third floor in Rm 5 which was the wedding room with a full bath.
