  You can take the ferry from Fort Mott on the NJ side or Delware City on the DE side. Was only $12 per person for the ferry (free entry to the fort) at the time of this review. Be aware that the NJ has only a couple ferries there and back per day (see schedule attached).
  
  The experience was excellent. The crew there are friendly and knowledgeable. It is a very interesting place fusing a conservation of nature approach with preserving American history. It's definitely worth a visit.

  We always try to make it out a couple of times a season. The workers and volunteers are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. You don't have to be a history buff to enjoy the island.

  Great day for a historical visit. From the dock in Delaware City and back. All the folks were wonderful. Very helpful and instructive. The demonstrations as always were the highlights. Once again a fabulous job from the boat crew,to the guides to the reenactors and shop clerks.

  Amazing history right on the Delaware River!! This staff is absolutely the friendliest ever. There are actors in period costume ready to answer questions and interact with guests. Amazing trails for easy walks. And history for the adventurous ones.
