  10/10 everything! Highly recommend. The food quality and portion sizes were delicious and definitely worth it. Please leave room for desert! Thank me later. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. You can clearly see they want to be there, and that made the atmosphere so much better. I will definitely return and highly recommend it.

  If you live in this portion of New Jersey you know Nero’s.Been around forever. Was an Italian restaurant which turned into a steak/chophouse place. Wonderful food and wonderful staff and service.
  Fresh raw shellfish, shrimp the size of languste . A happy hour until 6 with a bar full of pretty young ladies and a bunch of definitely older guys hanging out. Oyster shooter’s a specialty. Still has excellent pasta dishes and lots of chicken
  dishes. If you go make sure you see the hostess, Janeene,tall and glamorous, hard to miss. Huge parking lot by the way.

  We’ve been going here for the past 5 years & more so over COVID restrictions. The atmosphere is perfect, with many options. You can sit in the open dining room where it’s classy, romantic, inviting with large windows that let just the right amount of light in. Or you can be in the bar area where the seating is cozy, a little darker & warmer. The bar traffic has never bothered us here. You can even sit outside which is also cozy with beautiful flowering trees & trellises. And the outside area was even extended during COVID & was perfectly managed & convenient. This place is huge but still warm. Food is delicious. We have never been disappointed. Drinks are delicious also & just the right amount of alcohol for your money. Janine the owner is a joy! She is always delightful & engaging & makes her way to every table. She is part of the experience of going to Nero’s. This place is also perfect for families with young children. See it all the time whether it’s lunch or dinner. All ages frequent here from the young men & women to the mature & well lived. It’s one of our favorite restaurants anywhere in NJ.

  Pandemic dining at its finest. All joking aside, Nero's is top notch.
  
  We sat outside on the terrace, which with heaters and the tree coverage, was perfectly warm (the other outdoor area was more exposed to the elements). The drinks (dirty martini for my wife and Fireside(?) Old Fashioned for me) were well-prepared, tasty, and large.
  
  The food was excellent. Although not pictured here, we started with a drunken clams special and the Nero's Chopped Salad (split). The clams were flavourful and the sauce great for dipping the garlic bread crustiniesque accompaniment (or the equally great bread they put on the table). Entrée-wise, I got the pork chop giambotta, which was clearly great (see picture). From the seared crust to the moist and flavourful inside, the double cut pork chop was one of the best I've had. The peppers were good but maybe the weakest part of the dish. My Wife had the lobster fra diavolo which had a rich and spicy sauce (but not so much so for those who can't handle heat). The one complaint about the fra diavolo is that the lobster is still partially in the shell so additional cracking of a sauced lobster is required.
  
  Lastly, the dessert (also pictured) . It's homemade Cheesecake, it's real, and it's spectacular. Get it (or the mammoth carrot cake)!

  Food was great as well as service. Since it was outdoor dining, we all got eaten alive by the mosquitoes. Hopefully they're able to spray or something. We left the restaurant all complaining about that rather than praising how good the food was! I think I'll just wait until indoor dining reopens to return.
