  Delicious pastrami sandwiches and lots of other menu items to choose from. Expensive but comparable to Harold's NY Deli pricing for their sandwiches. The difference is quality. Eppes meat is much leaner. My new go-to to satisfy my pastrami cravings.

  Very pricey, but delicious. Did a great job at catering my son’s bris… not only was the owner patient with my mother, but called to check in after to ensure everything was smooth. Extremely generous portions (which is nice at this price point) but our guests all loved the food. I expected delicious corned beef and and pastrami, and was not disappointed, but was very pleasantly surprised by the delicious black and whit economies and Rugla that came with dessert.

  Amazing! The matzoh ball soup was incredible, bright golden color, super hot with soft and tender matzoh. Pastrami was flavorful and tender without being greasy like some other places. The salad platters were beautiful and fresh. You get what you pay for as the quality here is top notch. Wish they had sable. Maybe next time. 😁

  Wonderful Deli !This is the real deal when it comes to pastrami ,I have been all over New Jersey and it's rare to find a Deli with the real Jewish style pastrami since most deli's carry Boars Head which is the processed stuff, This Pastrami is the the steamed style cut nice and thick and melts in your Mouth like you would get in the few places that still have it in New York ! I'm glad i don't have to travel to N.Y.C. to get the real deal !Eppes Essen also has a dining room with a full menu and when your order anything the waitress will bring you some really nice condiments to go with your meal like a vat of Pickles and pickled peppers along with a nice plate of Cole slaw which is almost a meal in itself ! If you always wanted to try Real Pastrami Give Eppes Essen a try ,I guarantee you ,you won't be disappointed !

  nice quiet little deli, i had a pastrami sandwich and it was really good. Very obviously it's not katz, but it's a hell of a sandwich if you can't be bothered to move past turnpike traffic. good service, good food, good black and white cookies
