  Hiking to the top of Mt Tammany is a little tough on the red dot trail, but it offers a great view of Mt Minsi on the PA side of the river. We opted to take the blue dot trail back down which is a little easier.

  Mt. Tammy is an absolute gem of a destination! Nestled amidst picturesque landscapes, it offers breathtaking views from the summit.
  The hiking trails are well-marked and suitable for various skill levels, making it a great place for families and seasoned adventurers alike. The lush flora and diverse wildlife enhance the experience, creating a true nature lover's paradise. Whether you're seeking a serene escape or a challenging hike, Mt. Tammy has something for everyone. Don't forget to bring your camera, as the sunsets here are truly mesmerizing!
  I would recommend bringing set of hiking poles, wear hiking shoes and a hat or cap. Trail comprises of various parts with gravel, small to large size unstable rocks and large boulders. Slopes could be up to 45 degrees many areas. Apply mosquito repellent as large numbers of mosquitoes on higher levels during hot weather of July. Having a cap or hat will protect from mosquito getting stuck in your hair. Recommend beginning your hike on Red trail and return on the Blue trail. You will see a nice water stream along with water falls. Plan for at least 4 to 5 hours for your return trip.

  A moderate 2 mile hike leads you to this amazing view. You just need to follow the RED dot along the trail..very well marked and you won't miss it.. i saw people from all ages hiking these trails (kids to elderly).. ample parking available, however it fills fast.. overall a good weekend getaway..

  Great hike with medium difficulty. Parts of the path were just rocks so have grippy shoes if possible. Someone saw a rattlesnake as we were heading down but he wrestled it and caught it so it should be safe now.

  Fall is always the best season for mountain Tammany, when the temperature is perfect and mountain side is colorful.
  
  As usual, parking in weekend morning is challenge. But you will be able to find one spot anyway as they open roadside after lots are full.
  
  The hiking itself, 3.6 miles red and blue trail, is not that difficult if you are fit and outgoing. Taking half day and go into nature is always a good alternative to busy life.
