Fantastic...10 out of 10...I struggle with writing this review in fear that it becomes too popular, but I will just say that we had the best weekend at Kenneth L. Wilson Campground. The staff were great from the start. Check in was a breeze. They said that they are very proud of their campground, and they have every right to be. The grounds were immaculate. Boating on the lake was beautiful. We'll be back!
Great spot for tent camping. They have a fire pit and picnic table at each site. Friendly and helpful staff. They also have bathrooms and showers available. The water in the shower was more hot than I expected which was really nice.
It’s a great location near some nice hikes in the Catskills. There’s also some trails in the park that are fun to explore.
Best of all: no cell service! A true vacation and I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to unplug and relax.
Loved it! Mr Arthur who helped at the canoe launch and Nancy at the front are dolls. As mentioned in other reviews, there is 0 cell service so download maps. Grocery store and beautiful hiking trails are about 7 mins away. Bathrooms are ok. People can be nasty sometimes but the staff tries their best to keep up with the cleaning rounds. Loved the foliage between the campgrounds. Didn't feel on top of each other.
This park is a home of HVTC (Hudson Valley Triathlon Club) and we host 3 triathlon races each season: in June, July and August.
What is great, the money we pay as entry fee, is spent in the park and over the years there have been multiple improvements made.
We use the open pavilion for after race dinner and awards ceremony. Such a great spot!
