  Great park and trail. It’s a true moderate hike — not that scenic but a great workout . My dog loves this place too

  Very well maintained park and trails. I didn't see signs saying No Dogs, but was told after that there are some. Not knowing better, I brought my dog. She had a great time playing at the edge of the pond, which I was able to spot fish in. Trails were mostly clear, with a bit of mud and one large, deep puddle to walk around. Not surprising, given we went in late April.
  
  As long as you keep your dog on leash while walking over to the trail head, I don't think you'll have a problem if you bring your furry companion.

  I was surprised to find this in the middle of Highland. You will need to find directions online, there are no signs to tell you where you are going. Trails are well marked by Scenic Hudson, you just have to watch for them. Leaves covering the trail made it a bit tricky in rocky areas- I was glad I had my walking poles and would recommend them at least for fall hikes.
