(May 25, 2023, 6:35 pm)There are many trees that have come down on the trails. Take care. Also, with the construction on 44/55, getting to the park is a challenge.

(July 15, 2022, 11:36 am)Love this park. Nice sandy beach area, play ground, tennis & basketball courts avail to reserve. Life guards on duty during summer. Hiking trails up illinois mountain.
Concession stand open in summer. Pizza,burgers,ice cream. Bathrooms Only open during park hrs. Otherwise, Porta potty in parking lot. -

(April 2, 2022, 6:03 pm)Great park off the beaten path. Very close to highland for rail trail , hudson ale works and bad seed. We had a nice 4 mile hike.

(November 26, 2017, 1:58 am)What an amazing place. Fall visit. Foliage views. Peace and quite, just you and mother nature...sound of leaves in the wind and calm lake reflecting sun. I walked there through the community that surrounds the park, very quite with nice houses. The big disappointment is with humanity...garbage laying by lake and in greenery. Definitely recommend. Trails from The Walkway over Hudson took me here.
