  Really lovely setting, great tour, cute animals. Really worth a visit and special events are wonderful. The best ice cream!

  The house and grounds deserve 5 stars. I deducted one star due to the surrounding community being too blue blooded to construct sidewalks leading to HH.

  My daughter and I had a lovely tour with Laura today. She was very knowledgeable about the space, the families who had lived there, and answered every arcane and bizarre question we asked. A couple of days earlier, we were able to walk around the grounds and enjoy their tranquility.
  
  If you come and want a tour, you must call and schedule one. Their website merely suggests that you do, but I am here to tell to that you must. Enjoy! Can't wait to do it again the next time I'm in town and learn about the I didn't get this time.

  Good place to visit if you're interested in the early history of the USA, especially if you don't want to deal with Philadelphia's traffic. Call in advance if you want a tour of the house rather than simply walking around the grounds. (Those are lovely, but the house is more historical.)

  Beautiful historic spot they reminds us of the history and industry here---both things of pride (agriculture and self-sufficiency) and of shame (tobacco and slaves in Lower Merion). See blacksmithing demonstrations, visit bees, tour the house, and you'll get a glimpse of how things were during a period of time in our past.
