The reenactment was very interesting. The speakers were knowledgeable. It was a cold day, the fires at the camp and in the fireplace, in the cabin, gave us an idea what soldiers went through in the winter. My grandson and I enjoyed it. Definitely stop by if you haven't already.

We absolutely loved our tour of the Hancock House. My boyfriend and I stumbled on it while looking for other things to do on our way to Fort Mott. We were only there for a few minutes when the caretaker came out and kindly offered us a small tour. He was so knowledgable about the massacre and had great stories to tell of the area. He was also so nice—he offered for us to come back on his Ghostly Gatherings Tour of the house which was AMAZING! We came back for the 9pm tour to see a lit fire pit, festive Halloween decorations, and people gathered near the cabin, which housed cookies and amazing hot apple cider from Mood’s Farm Market, actors dressed in period clothing, and one gentleman who was playing a hammered dulcimer like an absolute professional. We enjoyed sitting by the fire and apple cider until our tour started. Our tour guide read us a story of the Massacre while walking us through the candle-lit rooms. The story is harrowing and the house is so well-preserved that you really feel you’re reliving the event. The house is immaculate in detail and setup—and there’s even original flooring which may contain actual bloodstains from the Massacre! I will say the house is filled with ghostly activity. The only thing I experienced was being touched/pinched/groped by the spirits and feeling an overwhelming sense of nausea in the room with the hearth. The ghosts are not angry—more curious and I think pleased that people want to know their stories. My boyfriend and I plan on going back and learning more about Salem. Really wish they would’ve taught more local history in school! This place is fascinating and the people who run it really care about making it an experience for everyone. Definitely visit this place for their regular tour of the house, but also make sure you go back for the Ghostly Gatherings Tour in October because you will absolutely love it!!

Walked around here sadly it wasn't open but the plaques and using Google helped pieced the story all together. It was a interesting site

Great place to visit if you're into history. Very well preserved site. The tour guide from across the street was very knowledgeable and gave us a great overview of the building and what had occurred there once upon a time.

Awesome visit! We went to a Twelveth Night holiday dessert and music event held in the Hancock house in the newly restored tavern room from Colonial Revolutionary period. We had such a great night and recommend going to learn about the homes history.
