  We spent a 3 hours in this trail with toddlers and it is our first trial wit kids and we loved it. Walking along the river with kids was fun, we spent some time playing jn the river( no swimming it's not safe). Pack some snacks or dinner. Follow the marks in trees for trail route.
  No restrooms in this place so plan it.

  Great spot. There are paved paths that are easy and rocky more challenging paths. Many picnic tables and benches throughout the woods.

  Love Hacklebarney!!! The creek is so beautiful and lovely to walk with, and so are the abundance of picnic tables!! Brought a friend here for a lunch rock picnic and we both had a wonderful time! Bring hiking boots!

  The Hacklebarney State Park is a beautiful park in central Jersey!
  
  The hiking trails are scenic and the sound of nature in this park is so calming!
  
  This park is so well-maintained, and hiking trails are clearly marked. It’s easy to spend over an hour and a half hiking on a trail in the Hacklebarney State Park, get your exercise in for the day, and feel so relaxed afterwards!
  
  As long as you watch where you’re stepping and follow the trails, it’s perfectly safe and (with good company) very enjoyable!

  Nature at its best. super quite and visitors are very respectful to the nature(at least during my visit). bring your snacks and water pretty huge area. And no trash bins around so whatever you brought in should go home with you.
