(July 19, 2023, 10:13 am)I chose Candlewood as a temporary stay in the journey of my medically frail mother. The staff were truly incredible. Our standards were high as she had been living in my home and required 24/7 care. The rehab team worked with her daily to help her gain strength back. They were professional and cheerful and always encouraging. The direct care team in her wing - I cannot adequately put into words my gratitude to them. Every one of them - personal care attendants, CNAs, nurses, the APRN, the social workers - incredible. They were professional, kind, caring - so supportive in our time with them. It was like being with family.

(June 9, 2023, 10:40 am)My experience with Candlewood has been excellent! Both my aunt and my father had terrific experiences in the center. I would highly recommend Candlewood Valley Health & Rehab to anyone needing post acute care. The staff are very caring and kind.

(May 26, 2023, 9:59 pm)The staff, management team and owners have been helpful, professional and respectful. Staff work together to support each other to enhance the quality of life of the residents. There is a strong focus on education, quality assurance and communication within. CV is far advanced and stands out compared to other nursing facilities I’ve worked at.

(March 24, 2023, 7:52 pm)Everyone seems to be very pleasant and helpful. The nurses are very interested in Les. That's important to me.. He hadn't started PT yet. Hoping for that to happen tomorrow. The aides all do a great job too!. Everyone we have been involved with have been great.

(February 1, 2023, 9:37 am)So my wife takes care of an elderly friend. After a five day stay in Danbury Hospital. He was placed in a rehabilitation center. He spent a short time in a DIFFERENT facility .We all made the choice to have him removed immediately. We needed to find a facility that was organized and proactive. She called Candlewood Valley .She spoke with Georgia and she immediately assured her that he could be transferred to Candlewood Valley Rehabilitation. Unfortunately My wife felt like she was getting the runaround. In her opinion, from the other facility. . We were also told that he could sign himself out but that would go against doctors orders. Or we could bring him to the emergency room and he could then be placed in Candlewood Valley rehab. Please keep in mind he is an 86 year old man who has problems with stability. My wife was told that they did not have a doctor on staff to sign the paperwork Immediately.. We were told by the facility that the facility’s doctor had Covid. And his replacement had called out . We asked if there was a doctor on the call and we were told there was not. The care he is getting at Candlewood Valley is like night and day. His nurse Lori is phenomenal The nurses aids and the other nurses go above and beyond.. His social worker Christine is kind and caring and communicates with him very well. The physical therapy he is receiving is unbelievable.. He has only been there a short while and we already see improvements. He is on the road to recovery and he will hopefully be living a happy and healthy life at his residence. Thank you Candlewood Valley you guys are a lifesaver!
