  Fantastic instructors. Aaron Harris is exactly the type of teacher you want showing your child how to defend themselves.
  
  Update: After training my kids for several years head coach Aaron finally convinced me to get on the mats and I haven't looked back. Aaron creates a environment that is the perfect mix of instruction, encouragement and just plain old fun. The students run the gamut from young to old and from hobbyists to professionals. You will get the support you need whatever your goals. Stop wasting time and get after it!

  If you're in town this is a must for all jiu jitsu practitioners or come in and try your first class. Without a doubt Aaron the head instructor/owner/professor was an absolute professional but a cool guy to hang around. I trained at the New Paltz location for approximately 1 week or so. Yet I was only there as a short timer, since I'm nearing retirement and traveling, Aaron gave me the utmost respect and provided meticulous training on the sidelines just as his regular students. Thank you so much. Big shout out to the Black Hole Crew. I will be back in due time. Semper Fi. Oos...

  I had the opportunity to train at Black Hole Jiu-Jitsu New Paltz in 2018, and I'll never be able to express how meaningful that experience was to me. As someone who had no experience whatsoever in BJJ, I was overwhelmed by how welcoming and encouraging everyone was as I built confidence and gained skills in boxing/kickboxing and BJJ. Even though I was only there for a few months while I was in college (graduated shortly after starting), it has inspired me so much and the friends I've made there have been long-lasting. I now train at a BJJ academy in Tampa, FL and will never forget everything I learned under Coach Aaron Harris and the rest of the supportive team behind Black Hole. I stand behind Black Hole 1000% and highly recommend to everyone I know in the New Paltz area, from young kids to college students to adults with families - Black Hole has so much to offer you and you'd be a fool not to go check it out.

  Coach Aaron is both a talented competitor and fantastic coach. Black Hole New Paltz has a fun, friendly atmosphere where everyone is made to feel welcome. The classes are filled with talented grapplers of all skill levels. If you’re in the area looking to train, I highly recommend Black Hole.

  Ulster County just got lucky!!! Black Hole Jiu Jitsu not only has the best trainers in the Hudson Valley, everything from facilities to trainers to teammates, in every way is nothing but the best. This is an amazing team where attitudes are left far behind, everyone works together and is supportive of each other, truly family. You will not be disappointed!!!
