  We were 3 couples going to Wallkill to celebrate one of the couple's wedding anniversaries. I happened upon Bernetta's Place via a google search and wow, what a find! This place is absolutely magical and Bernetta was an amazing host. She went above and beyond to find a restaurant for our celebration, because the original place they celebrated in years ago was closed.
  The next morning, her breakfast was amazing. Bernetta served each course herself and her warm, wonderful personality made it a most enjoyable meal indeed.
  It's almost impossible to adequately describe this home. We were in the Cantina, Carriage House and Millbrook Suite. All three were extremely comfortable and I can't begin to fully describe the attention to detail. Each space had so many whimsical touches, unique art pieces and cute little touches. You can definitely tell that this home is a labor of love for Bernetta.
  And that brings me to the outside and grounds. Your local botanical gardens have nothing on this place! There was something fun to look at and explore no matter where you looked. And just when you thought you'd seen it all, you'd catch something new in the corner of your eye. And if you don't want to wander around by yourself, there is the most adorable little pup who will show you around.
  My friends are still thanking me for finding Bernetta's Place and we have already begun discussing when we can make a return trip. We're all an airline flight away, but that's just how special Bernetta's Place is. Treat yourself to this amazing place and this wonderful woman and her dog. You'll want to come back again, as well!

  A beautiful place to spend some relaxing time with family. Bernetta is such a gracious host and she prepares wonderful breakfasts.

  My wife and I went to Bernetta's Place for a long weekend with our Boston Terrier. The Inn's grounds are beautiful and expansive. The entire area is fenced off, which makes it great for bringing a dog. Breakfast is included and was delicious. There was a Mexican style egg breakfast one day and the other day had some nice Pumpkin waffles, great for the fall environment. The host also offered great recommendations of local restaurants and hikes as well. We all had a great time and will definitely revisit in the future.

  If you are looking to get away from the constant New York grind, enjoy delicious farm to table breakfasts, views that are relaxing to the soul and a host that is passionate about what they do which shows with every detail being thought out – Bernetta’s Place is the place to be!
  
  There are so many things to do during your stay from wineries, to hikes, to bike trails and more! Bernetta was super personable and sweet – she made you feel like you were at home. I really look forward to coming back!

  I cannot recommend this place enough. I came as a solo traveler with a dog and chose this bed-and-breakfast because of how dog friendly it was. The entire area is fenced in, and I felt very comfortable letting my dog roam around. There are plenty of chairs around so you can rest while the dogs explore and check out the different flowers, statues, etc. The patio was furnished well with tables, chairs, and rocking chairs. I stayed at the cottage, which came with its own patio, and had a kitchen, living space with a large TV, comfortable queen bed, and clean bathroom. I highly recommend it. I initially thought it was too much space for me and the dog, but it turned out to be great. Lots of space for the dog to roam around when it started to rain and it had a beautiful, bucolic environment.
  
  I also chose this inn for the breakfast, and Bernetta did not disappoint. She makes everything by hand and you can tell how fresh it is. I was welcomed with two homemade and delicious chocolate chip cookies. She offered two types of coffee, a flavored coffee and a regular one, and breakfast came with a freshly baked good. I stayed for two days. Saturday had a savory breakfast, and Sunday had a sweet one. Both were delicious.
  To highlight how fresh everything was, Bernetta had chosen fresh apples local to the area for the sweet Sunday breakfast.
  
  Bernetta is also an excellent host. She offered great tips and restaurant and activity recommendations. She’s easy to talk to and went out of her way to make my dog and I feel comfortable. She also has a beautiful and friendly dog that loves to play. My dog and I cannot wait to come back!
