  A wonderful museum filled with real military aircraft and hundreds of scale models, rc planes, ships and tanks. That amount of history and knowledgeable staff is astounding. They also have a library filled with every book about planes and civil and military.

  Went on a Saturday to have breakfast at the SJ airport cafe, decided to stop by. Awesome volunteers running this place, it's full of models and restorations. Tons of memorabilia. A small library full of aviation related materials- great for school projects. They have a restoration in the back that kids can go in the cockpit of. Just super cool and filled to the brim. You can tour virtually with their QR and they work with local libraries for free admission.

  Located in a hanger to the left of the SJ Regional Airport entrance at the Air Victory Museum entrance we were greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable volunteer when we arrived. There was so much more history and memorabilia than when I had been there 15 years earlier. Our 8 year old was kept occupied and interested for over an hour which was amazing considering he generally has a short attention span. They have some items out that kids can feel and touch. The big hit was the fighter jet cockpit you can sit in. Great for plane enthusiasts. It was a chilly day and the hanger wasn't heated, but we were so interested in everything we hardly noticed. There is a conference room/library section that is heated where you can peruse thousands of military and aviation history books if you need to warm up. They also have a small number of items and toys on sale in a little gift shop. The volunteers are friendly and love to chat, but it's also great to get to know the other visiting Veterans and their stories as well. When you are finished you can take a walk over to the restaurant in the main airport building. You can dine inside or outside. There are also a few spots to park and watch planes take off and land and the helicopters come and go. A great hidden local gem.
  
  The museum is nearly all handicap accessible with large, wide walkways, but they do have a few displays with stairs to climb up and see inside a few static displays for the able bodied. I believe the restroom is located inside the main airport building and not inside the hanger. Something to keep in mind during your visit.
  
  Overall we highly recommend visiting the Air Victory Museum! 👍👍

  It was a nice small air museum. It was not hard to find and the parking was good. It is also a school to learn how to fly that is across from it. Had a small little cafe o the other side of the museum. Wish there were plans that you could sit in and get photos.

  Absolutely amazing. While in the Navy, I worked on the A-4, A-7 and F-14. Plus the E2C out front was on the carrier also. That have some good history there. The staff is friendly and Helpful.
