The people running this were so informative and very nice! My parents loved getting to know everyone too!
Informative. The guide, mrs. Calloway, is lovely and helpful, but needed to divide her attention between multiple groups arriving at different times. Therefore, more information via a self-guided tour would be helpful. Also, exhibits are kind of all over the place and not restricted to information about the Underground Railroad. For such a small museum, it seems to me that they should restrict the focus to JUST the Underground Railroad years and not Africa, the long history of slavery, or things that happened fifty years after slavery ended. It isn't that these things aren't important, simply that I would have liked MORE information and exhibits about the Underground Railroad, and this is intended to be the focus of the museum.
Great museum. Small location, but the staff is very informative and a joyous about their work making the experience personable. The passion they have for the location, will make you really feel the essence and appreciate the history even more. Can’t wait for the next event to visit again
Partially self guided tour with guidance of curator as needed. Self paced, so you can go as slow or fast as you'd like. Informative with literature from period, photographs, art work maps, and artifacts to help you better understand that time. A must see for anyone who wants to understand that era. It's free and in a great park that has more to do.
This museum is small but great! It's free and very informative, go check it out!
