  Although this motel looks a little beat up from the outside, our room was PERFECTLY FINE and comfortable. I am not comparing it to a fancier hotel chain when I give it 4 stars, but the room and bathroom were clean and large, and it had a mini refrigerator.
  The woman at the desk was patient and helpful, plus it is an easy stroll into town.
  I suspect it has had a makeover since previous bad reviews. If you are just looking for a comfortable, convenient place to rest, you can opt to spend $100 as opposed to $500!

  My sister and I stayed one night recently at the Village Motel after our reserved lodging elsewhere proved to be less than desirable. The Village Motel was clean (pristine), the beds were very comfortable, and the owner went out of his way to take care of our needs. He also was helpful when my sister returned the next morning to retrieve her cell phone plug that she had forgotten. She found the room already cleaned with freshly washed floors and the door open to air it out ( as were a number of other rooms ). Obviously this is an owner who believes in customer service excellence. We would not hesitate to stay there again if we should be in the area.
