(March 14, 2023, 2:42 pm)We have had good food here and we have eaten here many times. The menu is limited, but what is there is very good. Prices are reasonable for a ski lodge...most places gouge you...they get a premium, but not offensive. The quality almost justifies the price.

The bar was hopping so there's a good atmosphere.
They have a lot of options on the menu with many of them being homemade. All the food was delicious. I definently recommend coming here for dinner. -

(January 30, 2023, 7:31 pm)Great place! Especially if you are staying at the resort, it is perfect to dine in. We loved the quality of the burgers; the buns were toasted and big, and the meat had a fresh taste and no grease or fat. The fries are so fun! I haven’t seen any place to use that cut, and since the taste is the same as the standard fries, it makes it a pleasant experience. The Kaatskills is a nice salad, especially with add-on chicken; pizza and bruschetta are great for appetizers or a pizza dinner if you wish. After eating in a few places in the area, we came to the conclusion that it was better to eat at Van W than anywhere else, taste and value-wise.

The wait service was very attentive. The only complaint is it was a bit hot as the ceilings were a bit on the low side and there were a lot of people. They did try to open a door or windows to cool it down. Cocktails with my favorite pain in the ass — drinking cocktails at Van Winkles Bar with Anita Ayres.
