  Very well taken care of. Make sure you meander around so you can see all the animals! When you first pull in, it doesn’t look like much. It took us about 50 minutes to see everything and then we ate lunch by the river. The only animals who were hiding were the bobcat and the raccoon, otherwise everything was visible. Tons of shade, but bring wipes or disposable table cloth as the birds also seem to enjoy the picnic area. There are bathrooms by the barn with sinks.

  Nice little animal sanctuary. Its right in front of a section of the river, with a park and picnic area. This is free and a quick self walk through exhibit. It was very hot on the afternoon that we went, so the animals weren’t really out and about - but we still saw them. Donkeys, foxes, different birds, turtles, fish, snakes, bobcat and white wolves. I wasn’t too thrilled with the conditions of the bunnies cages though, and some other areas could use a little sprucing up as well. Overall, it’s a cool little thing to check out if you’re looking for something to do.

  It's a Montgomery County Park. The park is open from sun up to sun down, and the entrance is free.
  Wildlife Sanctuary encloses (both outdoor cages and climate-controlled buildings) many Pennsylvania-native reptiles, mammals, birds, insects (butterflies) and amphibians. It's surprisingly well-maintained facility.
  As you can imagine it's popular with young children.

  Lovely small park with enclosures housing mammals and birds native to PA. Includes a shaded trail along the Schuylkill River.

  This was the best trail by far.
  Finding it was a little difficult,even with GPS. If on route 113 south,make sure when aproaching, there is a 1/2 mile sign, look left and for the red building. There is a sign for the visitor center. Otherwise it will be missed. 😮
  Once there, take the wildlife trail to see the animals. Although, must say, they looked sad. Plenty of voultures flying around.
  Once done cross over to the river trail. It includes picnic tables with grills spread out with the view of the river.
  The trail starts unpaved and is along the river. But the transition to unpave trial is seemless, no rocks or fallen trees branches in the way, do look out for muddy areas.
  The river is calming for the nice long walk to the dam. Bikers look like they were enjoying the trail as well. Some avid fishers located strategically around the river, with some on the river in boats.
  It was so delightful, picturesque with mountain rocks good for climbing.
  Worth Exploring!
