  I've been coming here for a while now and I cannot be happier. I've worked with Ace and Mo for cuts and both are absolutely fantastic at their professions. All the superlatives in terms of care, communication, consultation, consent, and quality. Couldn't give higher praise.
  
  What really sticks out to me about Transfiguration is that it's a space so welcoming of all kinds. Salons are always such a gendered experience, and that's not the case here. As an enby, getting my hair cared for has always felt like an uncomfortable experience, for reasons I didn't understand until better understanding myself and my gender. No dysphoria here. 💜

  Alice's brow services are the absolute best!!! I always have a stellar experience with her. She provides the utmost kindness, gentleness, good humor and overall excellent vibes when guiding through brow waxing and tweezing. I am sometimes sensitive to the process and she is always the most accommodating and understanding, and every time I come out looking and feeling absolutely fabulous. Whether a first-timer or just looking to get them touched up, I cannot recommend enough Alice at Transfiguration. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  I am so happy I found this place. I saw April for a facial. After starting HRT my skin was all jacked up and I didn’t know what to do. I wanted to see a person who was aware of what HRT can do to your skin. It was incredible to find a trans esthetician that not only knew what I needed but was there to listen judgment free while I told her all the things I was definitely doing wrong to my skin. I felt safe and heard.
  I’ve never felt more relaxed in a salon before in my life. It was incredibly easy to make an appointment and very well priced. I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed myself and how excited I am to come back. Don’t wait any longer to make an appointment.

  One of the few places that still cares about the health and safety of their staff and patrons! Everyone is required to wear face masks inside the studio, and clean their habds. I felt very safe attending this salon, and welcome as well.
  
  It was refreshing to have a thorough consultation with my hairstylist, Jess, who took the time to talk to me about what I liked/didn't like about my hair and my current hair goals, instead of jumping right into things like I am used to at other salons. In my previous experiences, most haircut appointments were usually less than an hour, but they really take their time at Transfiguration Hair Studio.
  
  Tips: Be sure to book the right amount of time for your desired style, I thought 90 minutes would be more than enough time for a haircut with an undercut, but if you're not used to salons who really take their time, consider booking for a longer session.
  
  Also, if you have any sensitivities to certain scents, let them know beforehand. The shampoo/conditioner used to wash my hair had a very strong scent, which could be overwhelming for some people.
  
  If you're looking for a Queer salon, a place that welcomes all, and offers affirming services, then Transfiguration Hair Studio is the place!
