  Throgs neck rehab and nursing Center gives truly amazing care to my elderly friend who has dementia. My friend needs a lot of guidance, patience, she even needs to be fed since most of her teeth are gone and she can’t chew.Sometimes my friend is moody and loud, but the staff here is patient and kind. The communication is good; if there is any problem I get a phone call. I’d be surprised if they have any beds open at this facility because they do such a fantastic job. You’ll be lucky if you get into this place!

  So my mom was just admitted last night and so far so good. The guy at the front was friendly and took me through the steps of coming in I had to be Covid tested at the front desk. I didn’t mind that at all then you had to put your face in a machine so it can take a picture. I didn’t mind that either. When I got upstairs it was two nurses I wish I could remember their names but they were nice as well. The room was clean and all of what I could see was clean. I’m going back today as I need to bring my mother some stuff for her stay. It was late around 930 10 so I didn’t really get to meet and greet to many people. I should say that before we got there we received a call from a gentleman I have his name saved in my phone but can’t call it at this moment but he was pleasant as well gave us a welcome call and let us know that he was there to help if we need anything to call him. My mother and I both appreciated that. Over first night was cool I hope it stays the same and my mom gets the help she needs. I will be updating again because this process is rough looking for a place to leave your love ones. I am on only child and with one child of my own and it’s rough trying to make the right choice on where to place your loved ones for help. The reviews helped me pick my top 5 choices on where to send my mom so if I can help I will.

  My mom is 85 years young and I admitted her to the Throgs Neck Rehab facility for short term services. I see my mom every other day and speak with her every day. She continuously mentions how well she is treated and the level of service and commitment the staff has under her care. Something you don’t hear that often is how good the food can be at a facility. Well, she has enjoyed almost every meal. While most of us may not agree due to different experiences, this one was extremely good for her. I give this place 5 stars for their level of service, communication and commitment to their patients.

  I would like to give a recommendation to those who may be looking for a nursing home for their loved one. My Mom has been in Throggs Neck Extended Care Facility for several years. I find the staff to be attentive to & knowledgeable about my Mom’s care, likes & dislikes. When she first went in she was still very active. Therefore she participated in many of the activities they offer. The food is great & sometimes I would get a meal & have lunch with my Mom. I cannot say enough about the cleanliness of the facility. They do a great job of keeping it clean. The administrative staff are also great with addressing any issues you may have concerning your loved one. Overall I would recommend this facility to anyone looking to place their loved one in a quality facility.

  It was a difficult decision to choose a rehabilitation facility for my mother. I am thrilled that I chose the Throgs Neck Rehabilitation facility. From the moment, we entered the facility, security greeted us and informed us of where to go. My mother and I met with David (our family advocate). At first, mom had a difficult roommate. David made sure that her room was changed and she was made very comfortable in her new room. David was attentive that all of my mother’s needs were taken care. During her stay there, the nurses made sure that all of her medical needs were met. Claudette developed a special relationship with mom and she made mom feel at “home”. She especially looked forward to meeting with Matthew - her physical therapist. She made a lot of progress working with Matthew. The activities kept her from being bored. She even won Bingo a few times. Renee, her social worker, answered all of our questions and was very supportive. I am grateful for the entire staff at the Throgs Neck Rehabilitation facility.
