  This is an AMAZING dog-friendly spot if you're looking for a place to stay in the Poconos! We stayed in unit 9, which is their largest room. It was super clean, all the furniture was really comfy and there was plenty of space for all of us to be comfortable! (5 adults, 1 dog) We had everything we needed and the owners were super attentive whenever we sent them a text! We had lots of fun grilling and sitting by the fire pit and roasting marshmallows! Unit 9 is also really nice because we had a bit more privacy in the back then the other units attached. The area was super nice and we would definitely go back in a heart beat!

  I was originally booked for 12 days at a national chain hotel. It was so bad I checked out after 2 days. Spent the next 10 days at the Rex. It was absolutely the right choice! Beautiful location, just 2 miles off the I-84. Easy drive to all places I needed to go.
  The property is beautiful. Store is convenient and easy-to-use. The room was comfortable and had all I needed and then some. It was an old 1950s motor lodge that the current owners renovated beautifully. No closet, but several wall pegs and a coffee table under the TV big enough for full size check-in luggage to be open with room to spare. Even a hotplate and pans, silverware, dishes, coffee pot with coffee from a local roaster, hot water kettle, mini fridge, and freezer with ice tray. All your hand soaps, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and even dish liquid are provided and are good quality eco-friendly products.
  This will definitely be my go-to accommodation whenever visiting family in the area.
  Communicating with the owner and his staff was easy and they were very responsive and helpful.
  One suggestion would be that in addition to the room numbers, maybe add the room name to the door. Maple suite, Oak, etc.

  My wife and I booked a room at the Rex for a quick getaway to the Poconos. We loved everything about the Rex from the contactless check in and check out to the quiet peacefulness and serenity at the Rex. Everything was clean. The premises was pristine. The room felt boutique and comfortable. The personal fire pit that every room comes with was just the perfect finishing touch to a relaxing and perfect getaway at the Rex. Although there were other guests on the grounds, it felt like we were to ourselves and though we only communicated with the staff through text, we had all that we needed. We could really feel the work and love that's went into making the Rex a great place to stay and I'd highly recommend the Rex to anyone.

  My boyfriend and I spent the weekend here for a wedding we were attending that was about a 20-30 min drive away. This hotel is so beautifully made! Rooms felt very cozy and homey, so much so that we decided to extend our stay for an additional night. Joanna was so accommodating and flexible with our needs and the overall team was very responsive. Definitely plan on staying here again!

  On a day adventure outside of NYC, ending at The Rex was the best thing ever. Even though we only stood for a night, we enjoyed plenty.
  
  This micro hotel is located in the heart of the Poconos mountains, 2hrs from NYC. They are ten rooms to pick from. All are perfectly equipped with good appliances and chic modern furniture.
  
  We stood in The Hemlock room, perfect for a couple or young family.
  It's 350 sq ft. and has a kitchenette, king bed, living area, dining area, and a semi-private backyard. The bed felt like a cloud, and the eerie silence we experienced after turning off the TV was great for a good night's sleep. The sauna was excellent, and we had it all to ourselves, including the rest of the premises.
  
  The customer service is top-notch and prompt! It's self-check, and all questions are answered via text.
  
  Though we didn't hike, it was nice to enjoy the fire pit outside the woods, looking up at the stars. The peace and relaxation felt by being there smelling clean, fresh air is a good enough reason to book a stay.
  
  I would love to visit again during the fall. I am sure it'll be magical.
