I have studied under different martial arts instructors prior to coming to this dojo and am most impressed by Sensei Licata's dedication to his art and students. With 20+ years teaching Nihon Goshin Aikido, his techniques, just like his teaching style, are simple, effective and to the point. NGA aims at neutralizing an attacker without inflicting unnecessary harm. Compared to classical Aikido, NGA puts more emphasis on efficiency and prepares the student against a wider range of attacks. The atmosphere at the dojo is a perfect blend of friendliness and focused learning. Recommended to anyone willing to learn self-defense - adults and children alike.
