Easiest 5 star review ever!! The Commons at Ferncrest gives everyone such an amazing opportunity to get together and enjoy some delicious ice cream and some top notch coffee!! Not only is the ice cream and coffee amazing, but you can guarantee you’ll receive service with a smile from Susan - the main scooper and barista!! Want to make a whole night out of it? Fire man Steve will have the campfire and stories going all night long! 100% recommend everyone to come and enjoy a beautiful atmosphere with some great people too!!
Excellent coffee and ice cream. Susan is a wonderful person, barista, and host at the Ferncrest Commons. Open to campground guests and the general public; you will enjoy the atmosphere, hospitality, and treats.
A barista often over-steams the milk in a cappuccino or latte, but not Susan. With great skill, ingredients, and gear, she crafted wonderful coffee every morning. She made our stay even better! Highly recommended.
LEGIT ice cream but what makes it sweeter is the Manager of The Commons, Susan. She's a local and super social and accommodating, so if yous are looking for the who, what, when, where of the area, she's you're go to peep. Gave us the 4-1-1 on our short weekend away to make most of being a "local" for a bit. Strawberry ice cream was filled with real strawberry chunks, light and creamy, JUST GO FOR IT, jimmies (sprinkles) are free, WORD. Her main man, Steve, was the Director of Flames, aka the bonfire maker/keeper. He kept the flames going and the stories flowing. His easy, breezy, talking got all around the bonfire to connect with each other. The Susan and Steve combo is the hottest, coolest at The Commons.
Had the best time visiting the Frencrest Campground tonight! Susan and Steve are so wonderful! They made us feel right at home!
We loved the ice cream!! Our dog Pretzel loved it so much that it was all over her face! 🐶
My husband and I stopped for ice cream this evening and had the pleasure to meet Susan and Steve! Great ice cream and even greater conversation!! We will definitely be back!!
