  Finally drove through this area instead of the major roads. Pleasantly surprised - feels like the wilderness tucked away, and hidden from the major highways & roads. Nice local place to take in the woods, streams, nature.

  Gorgeous preserve. Secluded, nice small pond for fishing, lots of trails considering its size. Dogs love it. Backs up to a ravine, you can hike down to a stream and follow it all the way down to southern Long Valley

  Ranger was awesome. She taught us a lot of different things. We heard coyotes in the wild. Anf we had a campfire. The ranger stories with us he had a hike . It was so beautiful at night. I'm so glad I attended this event.

  We took a counter clockwise path around the outside longer loop. The blue trail was overgrown to the extent that at points I wasn't sure that I was on the trail. I should have had my machete. Ended up with bloody lip from thorn bush hitting me in the face. After this you go on paved road then gravel for short period before going back into the woods. The rest of the trails were well marked and were clear. Overall a very nice place for a hike.

  I loved how open it was and it is great place to bring your dog. The trails are definitely well maintained!
