  I went to see Anne Stewart after two months of pain from my trigger finger surgery. My doctor recommended an OT for hands. I was so happy that I went to see Anne. During the first visit she listened to all of my complaints and told me she wished that I had seen her right after surgery. She believed that my hand had developed scar tissue and that it didn't allow me to do anything. I was in more pain than before the surgery. Anne was wonderful. She tried many different techniques, from ultrasound therapy to wax immersion to electrical stimulation to massaging my scar to help me out. She encouraged me to go back to my doctor and get a cortisone shot, which I did. When I was given the shot I heard and felt a pop and the doctor believes the scar tissue was broken. Yeah!!! I can use my hand again and am able to knit comfortably. I highly recommend Anne Stewart for all hand, shoulder, or upper extremity OT. She is patient, kind and caring. Her home setting puts you at ease and she truly understands what you are going through. Her over 30 years of experience ensures that she knows what she is doing and she implements the latest methods to reduce pan. Thank you for everything, Anne.

  Have been meaning for months to send you an email and give you an update. Hope you remember me. I completely recovered last year and am feeling great- my arm and hand no longer trouble me at all—sometimes they start to feel a little stiff and I bring out my Anne Stewart binder and go back to the OT/PT for a bit. I do all the household activities I used to do and more. Completely got off all medicine., which has been amazing. Gained all the lost weight back. So I want to thank you for all your wonderful help and encouragement—I was definitely not at my best when I was seeing you, physically or emotionally, and my sessions with you kept me going.
  Wishing you and your family a great 2022- hope this pandemic finally peters out soon so we can get back to some kind of normal life again. I believe it will happen.

  I had a wonderful experience working with Anne! She spent time with me one-on-one and customized every step of my treatment plan based on my needs and progression. She explained the reasoning behind every treatment and process-I learned so much! Her office is calm and relaxing-almost spa-like. I highly recommend her services!

  Anne Stewart is an amazing hand therapist. My daughter injured her wrist at volleyball to the point that she would wrap it so hard at practice and games to alleviate the pain that it would turn blue. While continuing to go to practice, her wrist got better and better with every therapy session. Her hand mobility has improved so much and now she is back to normal. No pain, no brace or bandage. I recommend her highly to anyone who has a hand problem. Thank you, Anne!

  After being in five different PT/OT facilities due to a chronic pain disorder, I can easily say that the treatment I got with Anne was the best. Her facility is great: rigorously cleaned, modern. I love that sessions are 1-on-1 and don't feel rushed. Her treatment is excellent! She was so knowledgable about my tendonitis and helped me make significant advancements. She worked so hard to experiment with different solutions to tackle my tricky case. She's extremely personable which made the sessions very relaxed and nice to go to. I would recommend anyone go see her.

  I went to Stewart Hand and Upper Extremity Therapy because of numbness and tingling in the fingers of my right hand. Anne was very thorough and professional. She helped me with my problem, she took care of all the insurance details, and she is great at making her patients feel relaxed and comfortable. Her Monroe office at Nancy Dr. is conveniently located and easy to find. Thank you Anne!
