  This is literally a pull-over spot off Palisades that I have passed countless times without thinking. (You can’t see the view until after you turn off) Go ahead and pull over. It’s absolutely lovely. Great for a quick stretch and view or to hang out with a picnic. Long views of the Hudson.

  Very scenic especially if you are visiting during a non foggy clear weather. They have many trails. Some are difficult and especially trekking with small kids. Many of the trekking routes are not fenced so be careful and well prepared especially if you are not used to trekking. But definitely a nice place to spend a day. There are no public restrooms just some infrequently maintained Johny on the spot.

  If you are driving on palisades parkway and you need to stop for quality lunch with awesome view of Hudson river from the height then this is the place for you. This lookout do get very crowded in summer since it is very close to GWB and NYC, and parking lot do get full. Lots of people hike in this area and giant stairs is accessible from here. This is my favorite stop if I am going to upstate NY using palisades rather than I87. I had very well made chicken sandwich 🥪 today with homemade fries in the Cafe. I support local places like this rather than big fast food chains in surrounding.
