Went here today what a nice place in Yonkers saw deer as well
Cool little park with some old stone structures. We walked very slowly on every trail and were done in about an hour and a half. Dog friendly.
Peaceful. Short distance from Untemeyer Park. Try to see both in one day if possible. Mansion is going through a renovation but still a great place to enjoy nature especially if you're a bird lover. You may even see some deer on occasion. A picnic table close to the parking lot to enjoy lunch and benches to rest. Great place if you are looking for a quiet spot especially during the week.
Amazing nature center with trails, interesting classes amd gorgeous view. Tons of birds at feeders and huge trees. Went to wonderful maple syrup class.

There is a monarch butterfly garden that is teeming with them. It's very pleasantly surprising. There are also hummingbirds that forage on the flowers as well as woodpeckers and nocturnal animals.
