(October 20, 2020, 8:35 pm)State Game Lands 299 is more immaculately kept than many state parks in NEPA. Although there aren't some of the facilities that one would commonly associate with a state park, the area is less inhabited, just as beautiful, and wilder than many of the area's state parks.

(September 17, 2019, 2:13 pm)Access for one of the hottest fishing spots on the West Branch. You can walk in (can be tiring walk in waders if you're 60+). Easiest & best access is by drift boat or canoe.

(December 13, 2018, 1:43 am)This parcel of land is surprising for State Game Lands. It's set up more like State Forest with a couple of easily accessible ponds and old roads reaching throughout. Looking forward to heading back it here to explore some more. There are supposed to be some old homestead ruins here as well.
