  Good hospital with a few short-comings. Kitchen - food is very good, just make sure to verify when they take order. Nurses are short-staffed and expect not to be assisted in a timely manner. Also their sliding scale for diabetes : insulin injection had left me with horrible results that they have not adjusted. In other words, my lowest reading over 1 week is 178 and I have yet to get to my goal of 100. They simply won’t increase my dose even though logic would dictate this. Another example is my reading was at 328 and they gave me 6 units and insisted I drink apple juice thinking my blood sugar would be low- SERIOUSLY? My room is so dark even with every light on.

  In this review I'm focusing on the labor and delivery nurses, CNAs, housekeeping and dietary aides. All of the nurses, (with the exception of 1 older rude-abrasive OR attendant whose name she's lucky I forget, and the night nurse on our final night), were all phenomenal ESPECIALLY, RITA, I loved, Rita! They were truly a beacon of light and stepped up to care when the attending physician's failed to offer kindness, consideration and professionalism. They listened when the doctor's refused and they offered an ear when I needed to vent. Moreover they cared for our daughter in the sweetest way.
  
  A few names I recall that really resonated with me are RNs: Ashley, Merrily, RITA!, Ja'dara, Rachel and Sabrina. There were also two young women who appeared to be freshman CNAs whose names I can't recall but they too were a great support. One I even trusted enough to give our daughter her first wash-up! She was a sweetheart!
  
  Ann, in housekeeping was a breath of fresh air every morning and I welcomed her company during my stay. The other woman who tended to my room was also pleasant, but I forget her name.
  There was also a dietary aide who personally came to the room whose name I want to say was Karen or Debbie (forgive me), she too was a pleasure.
  
  Thank, God for the wonderful hospital staff at, St Anthony's Hospital, for providing CARE during my stay. But boy was I glad to go HOME! So last but not least, thank you to the porter, Danielle (I hope I'm right) for breaking us out, you were a doll!

  why does this hospital have such a low rating? wow, my experience was awesome. I was passing a kidney stone, unbeknownst to me, and they took amazing care of me. I was seen quickly on a quiet Wed evening, the nurse Janet was so caring, funny and helpful, and Dr Singh was kind and very good. The CT scan guy was nice and friendly and professional too. And I'll tell ya - that IV they gave me pushed that kidney stone through the worst part and now I feel so much better! They put my Rx through that evening for me to pickup the next day, which went fine, and gave me some pills to tide me over for that evening. All in all, a great place, and such a humanizing experience compared to NYC hospitals. The difference is staggering.
