  8 months ago I gave this place 5 stars. My most recent visit. Food and the manager checking on us was spot on. However my waitress had a total attitude. As if she was working on an assembly line. Not friendly at all nor inviting. Not, thanks for coming or come again, hope you enjoy your meal cold like a corpse. I don't need my rear-end kissed but some common civility is generally appropriate. Sadly, I tipped 20% and regretted it. Please encourage all your wait staff to remember they're the face of the diner. I usually come 3x a year so I'm not a local.

  Nice, clean diner with a variety of classic fare and unique spins on traditional dishes. We were seated right away on a Saturday around 10am. My husband got the lumberjack breakfast and I got the vegetarian skillet. Everything was tasty, but it was definitely on the pricier side. A side of rye toast came with one slice and cost $2.25, which feels a bit steep. Loved the atmosphere and variety of the menu the most.

  Would go again - This diner is a gem in a quiet neighborhood in comparison to suburbs closer to NYC. Sparta is a very relaxing town and Lake Mohawk near this diner is such a good R&R place to visit. In addition, you have this diner that has many menu items fit for foodies.
  
  My friend and I ordered the buffalo mac and cheese, southwest chicken sandwich, and BBQ burger. Gosh...all 3 of these foods were delicious! They have so many other unique foods and their milkshake looks insane...given the amount of food we ordered, we had to skip it. The buffalo Mac and cheese was some of the best I ever had. Creamy but cheesy and it did not get dried up as most mac and cheeses do.
  
  Interior is very clean for a diner. It has a old school but modern vibe to it. Parking lot has ample spots. Visit Lake Mohawk after a good meal at this diner.

  I have been here a few times for breakfast and to kill some time while I wait for my daughter's practice to finish. Staff was friendly and restaurant is clean. Can get quite busy so wait times for seating and service can be delayed. But looks like everyone steps up to help out. Food is good quality. Simple mushroom, onion, spinach and Swiss omelet. Spinach was fresh. Potatoes could have been a bit warmer.
