  Excellent local yarn store! The owner Vera has great insights for my knitting projects and offers excellent classes at a great value.

  I have been knitting on and off for many years. Just before COVID, I got the bug again and found Slip Stitch Avenue. Walking into the store and seeing all the yarn I became overwhelmed. Seeing my reaction, Vera’s helped me find a pattern and yarn to make a simple scarf.
  
  Through the years I often visit the store and with Vera’s help leave with a project. I feel comfortable just popping into the store when I have made a mistake or need her help. Recently, I started knitting a sweater. Even though, I didn’t buy the yarn from the store, Vera helped me with the sleeves and fixed a mistake I made without ripping out what I have done.
  
  I can’t thank Vera enough for helping me feel comfortable with my knitting projects, instead of putting them in the closet.

  Vera has a lovely shop in the heart of Bordentown. I was a brand new knitter when I started shopping here. Vera has helped me so much over the years. She spends as much time with you as you need to make sure you are pleased. Her yarns are beautiful and reasonably priced.

  I was so excited to visit my local yarn shop for the 1,267,463rd time during the NJ Wool Walk that I forgot to take a picture to show them off. Doubled back the next day because I wasn't ready to commit that crime. Vera deserves it!!!
  
  Everyone needs to stop here because she gives you variety. She gives you lessons. She gives you good company (or not, you can shop here without feeling pressured to buy). She gives you quality assistance (and has literally helped me pick colors and ordered out of stock, backordered yarn for 3 of my projects). She gives you... everything. Vera is the best 💛💛💛
  
  I also ought to say that there are also a few social events held here (see her website for details) where I've met and connected with several folks in the fiber community. It has always been a grand time at Slip Stitch Ave in Bordentown, NJ.

  I had the pleasure of visiting this adorable little yarn shop during New Jersey's Wool Walk 2022. This was a first visit for me, and believe me I can't wait to go back! I was greeted by Vera who was very friendly and knowledgeable, and spoke to me at length about a variety of different things. She gave me a lot of helpful information about various different needles, both interchangeable as well as fixed, cable types, different types of joins, etc. That information will serve me well in the future I am sure. I was able to shop comfortably with no pressure to buy, and think about not only what I wanted today but also ideas for future projects. Vera also explained how Wool Walk works and was excited about it. She's obviously very passionate and knowledgeable about all things fiber and fiber Arts. This was such a happy pleasant experience. If you're looking for a sweet little shop with a wide variety and fabulous selection to choose from, and want to shop in an environment where people know their business, this is the place for you. If you're like me and have to come a long distance to shop there, it will be worth the trip! Support families, not corporations. Shop local!
