(January 1, 2023, 10:50 am)Highlight: amazing treatment, terrible desk staff. I want to rate this experience a lot lower but the physical services received were incredible—customer service was NOT.
Onset ritual was an incredible and unique experience. Hands down best massage I have ever received. The whole appointment was very magical. The area where you wait for treatments was beautiful and there is a pool you can use! Highly recommend.
However, the staff that checks you in and leads you to the locker rooms is horrible. Really rude and unwelcoming. It really put a damper on my appointment. I am pretty shocked they have such horrible service here because it sets the tone for your whole treatment… I plan on contacting the spa. For spending over 1k in treatments this is highly unacceptable 👎. -

(November 27, 2022, 9:24 pm)Take it from someone who gets a lot of massages - this was a life changing experience. The space itself is a 200 year old Japanese barn with a spiritual calmness to it. The massage beds are heated waterbeds with remote movement, heated sandbags are placed on you throughout the massage and the massage itself was unreal. Thanks Amanda for being so talented- I’ll be back!

(August 23, 2021, 6:41 pm)Unbelievably relaxing oasis in the heart of the city! Had both a facial and massage — both amazing. The pool is definitely worth coming a few minutes early / staying after your service. Everything was clean and serene. Highly recommend!

(September 22, 2019, 11:10 am)Mixed experience. My wife had a wonderful facial, but there were small things that could be improved. Beautiful and unique environment with wonderful and exceptionally professional staff. They were wonderful. She very much appreciated not being pushed to buy products toward them end of the facial with up selling, as most do toward the end of the treatment. However, the cleaning staff was so noisy and intrusive within the spa area that the experience was variable. Though simply doing their jobs, the environment was disrupted with the activity and could be timed more effectively for when patrons have left the room. Another improvement would be to allow husbands (me) to sit in the bar and order a drink to wait for my wife. “Bar is for hotel guests only, I’m sorry” was the greeting. So, I had to leave the space and sit in the lobby if I wanted to have a beverage. Granted, I’m being childish, but I went down the street for a nip instead. And, to be fair, I was wearing a baseball cap during United Nations week, so I may have been best suited to a bar than a lounge, but still, I had expected to have a relaxing time waiting for my wife but then had to move on to a location I was welcomed. Perhaps we’ll visit again, we are local, but perhaps we test a few more locations before we do so. Shibui is recommended, of course.
